520 missing

in order for the demographics of the stanford university faculty to accurately reflect the student population, 520 white professors would need to be replaced by professors of color. from this statistic was born a performative intervention in which i invited members of the public to help plaster the campus with missing posters.

i produced 520 posters total, each standing in for one the "missing" professors. the faces of the faculty members were created using a gan image generator, so as not to implicate the identities of real people.
